This is a hefty razor shy of an inch width at 15/16". It is a hollow ground round point. The perfect combination in my opinion.
Steel is in excellent condition. Tang impressions are flawless. No signs of use. Seems like a factory edge which is shave ready but hasn't been finetuned on stones. I'm going to leave it like that. If you want this razor and you want it honed just let me know at checkout and I'll do it. If you want to hone it the way you like it that's fine with me...but I'd rather leave you the option than take it away. It's popping arm hairs as is.
As for the scales...these FEEL like acrylic but they have some features of bone and they are behaving like old ivory scales. You can see some cracking going on which is consistent with ivory. The only point of concern is that half split at the pin on one side. It doesn't seem to go all the way through the scale as acrylic scales do when they break. There is no separation when the blade is opened and closed at the split. Scales remain tight and centered so I don't expect it is a problem but certainly worthy of being pointed out.
