This is a very rare Alligator scaled vintage straight razor. Blade has a couple of small blemishes but mostly in like new condition. Scales are perfect. Factory edge which shaves. Clear tang impressions. Hollow ground German Steel.

The process I use to sharpen:
Shapton Glass Water Stones in 1000, 2000, 5000, 8000, Arkansas Stone 16,000, and finish on fire-hose strop and horsehide leather.
Not every razor needs to start back at the bevel setting stage. That should only need to be done once if done properly. Some razors will only need stropped,
most will come in and I'll take it back to the 5000 and work my way up if the bevel is correct.
