Why you should make the switch to homemade soap:
First of all, if you’ve ever experienced a good homemade soap all these technical benefits may bore you. You know why…it makes you feel like a fresh king…all other benefits be damned. But for the less experienced readers; read on I trust you will soon see the light.
Your Soap become part of you:
Your skin is the largest organ you have. It is your first line of defense from dangerous toxins. Your skin is absorbent and takes in whatever comes in contact with it. I submit for your consideration…take the best care of it that you can!
If you currently buy your mass produced soap from a grocery store you are literally purchasing the leftovers of soap…more like detergent for your body. Take a look at that label…can you pronounce any of it? If not try googling them. There are many known health issues that all of these ingredients contribute to.
Phthalates, which are linked to reproductive disorders in both humans and animals, and parabens, a preservative, which links to cancer just to name a couple. I trust we can agree that your daily maintenance shouldn’t contribute to cancer or illness.
The Environment:
You may not think about it often but take some interest and you will see the companies selling you “soap” are being sued by environmental agencies, being fined by the DEA for not putting warning labels on their products and causing health and safety concerns in addition to allergies. Factories dumping the byproducts of their soap into our water supply is actually becoming a health problem. Think about that…
In contrast. Homemade soaps are made with premium ingredients. From essential oils and butters rich in antioxidants, essential nutrients and vitamins all beneficial for healthy skin. This will reduce dry skin, itchiness, assist with eczema and psoriasis and acne and help you look younger.
Some ingredients common in mass produced soaps actually dehydrate the skin. They extract the glycerin and use it in premium skin care products leaving you with the cheap leftovers to literally bathe in. Homemade soap doesn’t contain the preservatives, and cheap fillers to make a consumable product last for decades.
Our soaps are always fresh made to order. No need for adding garbage and no need for extracting benefits. That’s the reason we make soap!
Selection:
While you may absolutely LOVE your soap bar variety is the spice of life!
Shake things up a bit. Try a new scent. I absolutely LOVE using our Bay Rum Soap, but other days I choose the feeling of our Black OakMoss Soap. If I want a good exfoliation I enjoy our coffee soap made with fresh ground coffee. With so many options you will look forward to your showers like never before.
I’m a firm believer in living the best life possible and that starts with upgrading any and every aspect of your life that you can.
Homemade soap is one of the simplest, cheapest and beneficial things you can do for your health and wellbeing.
Ethical:
When you buy homemade soap you are supporting a family directly. You aren’t sending your share of billions of dollars to a heartless industry. No impoverished sweat shop workers or messy chemical factories were involved in your routine. We won’t be testing on our pets, we test on ourselves! Our respect for the earth, people and other living things is part of our ingredients. It's worth a couple extra bucks.
If you feel that variety is the spice of life then handmade soap won’t disappoint! No matter your skin type or personal preference there is a soap ideal for you. Most of our soaps start with olive oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, corn oil, and hemp oil. Shea butter and activated charcoal. If you have all day look into the benefits of each of these for your skin. I don’t usually tell people what to do…I just make suggestions. I suggest you give homemade soap a try. You are worth it and you will be glad you did.
